Suspected robber lynched by mob in Baldia Town

A suspected robber was lynched to death by a mob in Baldia Town on Wednesday. The suspect, who is yet to be identified, was caught by some residents near Bahu Chowk in Qaimkhani Colony.

Soon a mob gathered which started punching, slapping, and kicking him. The mob brutally lynched him until he died. A police party reached the scene, recovered the body, and shifted it to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

In a separate incident, a 30-year-old suspected robber, identified as Waheed, was arrested by Site B police in an injured condition. Weapons, ammunition, and a mobile phone were recovered from him, while his accomplice managed to escape.

In a third incident, a suspected robber, identified as Muhammad Younus was killed in a shootout near Korangi Singer Bridge. Meanwhile, Liaquatabad police arrested two suspected robbers, one of whom sustained injuries during an encounter. The injured suspect, identified as Rahil alias Jannati, was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

In yet another incident, Mochko police claimed that they have arrested a robber, 27-year-old Parvez Saleem, after an encounter near Musharraf Colony. Saleem, also injured during the encounter, was shifted to the Civil Hospital for treatment. His accomplices managed to flee.

Moreover, a 30-year-old policeman named Kamal was accidentally injured in the New Karachi Industrial Area. Similarly, a stray bullet struck 45-year-old Bakht Ayyan at her residence near Sector 4 of Baldia Town. In Kharadar, 25-year-old Saddam fell victim to a stray bullet, while 21-year-old Yousuf was injured during a confrontation in Lyari. In Naval Colony, Saeedabad, 30-year-old Ayaz sustained injuries amidst a dispute-related firing incident. Police investigations into these shootings are ongoing.
