Kanye West sued by former assistant for sexual harassment and wrongful termination
The legal woes continue for Kanye West as his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, takes legal action against the rapper for alleged sexual harassment and wrongful termination.
Us Weekly confirmed the filing of the lawsuit on Monday, June 3, with TMZ being the first to report on the matter.
In her lawsuit, Pisciotta accuses West of breach of contract, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and creating a hostile work environment.
According to Pisciotta, she was hired by West during his development of the Yeezy fashion line and also collaborated with him on tracks for his album “Donda”, released in 2021.
Pisciotta claims that before joining West's team, she was a successful content creator on OnlyFans, earning $1 million annually. Allegedly, West offered her $1 million per year to delete her OnlyFans account, which she agreed to.
However, after leaving OnlyFans, Pisciotta alleges that West began sexually harassing her through explicit text messages, phone calls, videos, and photos.
Despite these allegations, Pisciotta asserts that she was promoted to Chief of Staff for West's various companies and was earning a $4 million salary.
However, she was terminated in October 2022, purportedly receiving a $3 million severance package that she has yet to receive.
West's legal troubles don't end with Pisciotta's lawsuit. The rapper has faced additional lawsuits related to his Donda Academy, dating back to April 2023, with allegations of health and safety violations.
West's attorney has vehemently denied Pisciotta's claims, stating that they are untrue and detrimental to the reputation of the Donda Academy.
