Miley Cyrus reveals about receiving sweet fax messages from godmother, Dolly Parton
Keeping a fax machine handy is a must for anyone talking to Dolly Parton, including Miley Cyrus.
The singer and actress, shared in a recent cover story interview, with W Magazine, about the sweet fax messages she receives from Parton, her godmother, along with an unforgettable Christmas present from the 78-year-old country icon.
"Dolly’s been like a mother to me," said the ‘Angels Like You’ singer, before recalling a "fax that she sent me two Mother’s Days ago" and talking about Parton's unique fondness for fax messaging.
"No one else faxes. I literally have to access my lawyer’s office, because the lawyer is the only person who can still receive a fax," the singer and actress shared.
"Dolly wrote to me to say: 'How much do I love you? As much as my heart can hold and as far as my arms can reach.' It gets me choked up," Cyrus added.
The ‘Never Be Me’ singer said, "I just love her so much. Last Christmas, she gave me a whole mannequin, done in her proportions and wearing her outfit. It’s so major."
Parton revealed in an interview, on The View, last year why she remains committed to the fax machine, noting that she's not interested in getting "into that world" of text messages, emails and social media platforms, saying "I'm surrounded by enough people."
