Daryl McCormack, known for his acclaimed performance in "Good Luck to You, Leo Grande," has been added to the star-studded ensemble of "Knives Out 3," officially titled "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery."
The Irish actor joins the previously announced cast members, including Daniel Craig, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Josh O'Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Jeremy Renner, and Mila Kunis.
Rian Johnson returns as writer, director, and producer for this third instalment, promising Benoit Blanc's "most dangerous case yet."
Production is set to commence this summer, with more casting announcements expected soon. Netflix has slated the film for a 2025 release.
The "Knives Out" franchise has been a critical and commercial success, with the first film becoming a box office hit for Lionsgate. Netflix subsequently acquired the rights to the series for over $450 million. The first two films, "Knives Out" and "Glass Onion," followed detective Benoit Blanc as he solved complex murder mysteries involving eccentric and wealthy suspects.
McCormack's addition to the cast further solidifies the film's ensemble appeal. The actor's recent credits include the Apple TV+ series "Bad Sisters" and a role in the fifth season of "Peaky Blinders." He will also be seen in the upcoming disaster epic "Twisters," set to hit theaters in July.
With an impressive ensemble cast and Rian Johnson's proven track record, "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery" is shaping up to be another highly anticipated addition to the popular franchise.
