Vanessa Bryant, widow of basketball legend Kobe Bryant, recently shared a moment on Instagram, showcasing her daughter Bianka, 7, following in her late father's footsteps on the basketball court.

In a series of photos and videos, Bianka is seen practicing her basketball skills alongside professional WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu during a visit to New York City.

Sabrina's comment on the post, "Shooting definitely runs in the family," elicited a playful response from Vanessa, who jokingly wrote, "@Sabrina_i Keep waiting on that pass."

Bianka's interest in basketball continues the legacy of her father, Kobe Bryant, who tragically passed away in January 2020 alongside their daughter Gianna in a helicopter crash.

Gianna, already an accomplished player at the age of 13, shared her father's passion for the game.

Vanessa and Kobe are also parents to daughter Natalia, 21.

This isn't the first time Kobe Bryant's legacy has been intertwined with basketball since his tragic passing in 2020. Earlier this month, Vanessa hosted a girl's basketball camp through the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.

The foundation, named after Kobe's nickname "Black Mamba" and his daughter Gianna's nickname "Mambacita," honors Gigi's and Kobe's passion for creating opportunities in sports for young girls and boys in underserved communities.

Prior to his death, Kobe was a vocal supporter of his daughters' athletic pursuits. In a 2019 interview, he spoke about both Gigi and Bianka's potential.

"Our middle daughter, Gianna is really, really focused on playing the game of basketball,' Kobe said."

While Bianka was just a toddler at the time, Kobe playfully noted her boundless energy, hinting at her potential for athleticism: "I don't know what she's gonna do, but she has a lot of energy. She never sits down. So I'm not sure what she's gonna do."

This glimpse into Bianka's interest in basketball comes just a few months after Vanessa attended the emotional ceremony unveiling Kobe's statue at Crypto.com arena.

The ceremony marked her first return to the venue since the memorial service for Kobe and Gianna.

Vanessa's strength and resilience continue to inspire many. In February, her close friend Kelly Rowland spoke to ET about Vanessa's character. "Vanessa is one of the strongest women I know," Rowland said.
