Vanessa Hudgens recently captivated audiences by winning the eleventh season of The Masked Singer, where she performed under the guise of the Goldfish. However, the Disney Channel alum has since addressed the speculation surrounding her potential return to the music industry.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hudgens shared her excitement about the victory but promptly set the record straight regarding her future in music. "I always say life is about priorities and that's just not a top priority right now. Who knows? Maybe down the line, maybe it will be, but as of now, it's still no," Hudgens clarified.

Hudgens has confirmed that she will not be returning to the music industry following her victory on the eleventh season of The Masked Singer, but she also clarified a possibility might arise in the future

The 35-year-old actress, known for her role in High School Musical, confessed that her competitive spirit grew as the show's season progressed. "I'm my worst critic, so I was doing what I could to make myself proud and being as nitpicky as possible, because while I was anonymous, it's still me under there, and I want to be proud of the work that I was doing," she said.

Hudgens also revealed that her participation in The Masked Singer was partly driven by her fans' desire for her to return to music. "This kind of just came around at the perfect time, and my fans had been asking, saying, 'We want more music, we want singing anything, give it to us please,'" she explained. "I was like, you know, this would be a really interesting way to give my fans what they want, but make sure they're really fans."

Despite the nature of the show, Hudgens admitted she didn't go to great lengths to hide her identity. "I wasn't really trying to cover it up. I was covering up myself, so I felt like that was good enough," she remarked.

Hudgens first rose to prominence as a singer through her performances on several High School Musical soundtrack albums. While fans may have hoped her Masked Singer victory would herald a return to music, Hudgens has emphasized that, for now, her focus remains on other priorities.
