Prince Harry faced a devastating blow when informed that he cannot expand his legal actions against The Sun's publisher to include accusations regarding Meghan Markle.

Harry claims that he was unlawfully targeted by journalists from News Group Newspapers, The Sun and the now-defunct News Of The World

Michael Cole, Royal commentator, warned the Prince that he could “dissipate his fortune” due to his legal issues.

Cole said that the process is “extremely expensive” considering the Duke of Sussex is now covering his own expenses.

"He's taking on the red top tabloids and the middle market tabloids and he wants to win the day. Whether he is wise to do that I'm not sure. You can burn through a lot of money very, very quickly," said Michael to GB News

"You can very, very quickly dissipate your fortune by investing too much in the law,” continued the royal commentator.

In addition to being denied the permission to include allegations concerning Meghan, Harry was informed that he cannot make further amendments regarding claims of phone hacking.

The Duke of Sussex’s legal team was allowed to make allegations against certain further journalists and private investigators.

News Group Newspapers has previously denied unlawful activity at The Sun.

Allegations involving Rupert Murdoch will not be included in Prince Harry's case against News Group Newspapers, which is scheduled for a full High Court trial in January 2025.
