Ben Affleck was seen sporting his wedding ring while out with friends in Santa Monica, California, on May 21st, amidst reports of marital troubles with his wife, Jennifer Lopez.

The actor, 51, opted for a casual look of tan jeans and a navy button-up shirt, with his wedding ring prominently displayed on his left hand. Earlier in the evening, he dined at the upscale Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi.

Meanwhile, Lopez, 54, attended the premiere of her upcoming movie "Atlas" in Mexico City, solo, on the same day. She wore a stunning white Chloé gown, but it was unclear whether she wore her wedding ring.

This was not the first solo appearance for Lopez amidst the speculation surrounding their marriage. She also attended the premiere of a Netflix sci-fi movie alone on May 20th, while Affleck was busy filming "The Accountant 2."

Sources have revealed to PEOPLE that things are currently strained between the couple, who rekindled their early 2000s romance and tied the knot in 2022. Although they live a few miles apart, they reportedly have different approaches to their personal and professional lives.

"She likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world. He is more introspective and private. This has been difficult day-to-day," a music source shared with PEOPLE.

Despite their differences, Affleck has always been impressed by Lopez's work ethic and success, according to a film source. However, her openness and self-promotion are not his preferred style.

While their marriage may be facing challenges, the recent sightings of Affleck wearing his wedding ring suggest that the couple may be working through their issues.
