Slash announces Guns N’ Roses are making a new album together

Slash, the guitarist for Guns N' Roses, recently confirmed that the band are working on a new studio album. 

In a Daily Star interview (via NME), Slash spoke about the album 

“Guns N' Roses are trying to make their own record,” Slash explained, “and I'm working with them in that capacity.” 

He then addressed the lack of collaborators like Axl Rose or Myles Kennedy on his latest solo album, ‘Orgy of the Damned,’ “This [solo album] didn't involve anyone else. It was my own side thing, so I wasn't dragging my own guys in.”

For his solo album, the guitarist collaborated with Iggy Pop, Chris Stapleton, Billy Gibbons, Demi Lovato and Steven Tyler, along with other notable singers such as Paul Rodgers, Chris Robinson, and Beth Hart.

The news of an upcoming album is a welcome surprise for fans yearning for new music from the iconic rock group. Their most recent full-length album, ‘Chinese Democracy,’ was released in 2008 and didn't feature Slash's talents. 

The last full album that featured the guitarist was Guns N’ Roses’ 1993 album, ‘The Spaghetti Incident?.’

However, since Slash rejoined Guns N' Roses in 2016, he has contributed to their singles ‘Shadow of Your Love,’ ‘Absurd,’ ‘Hard Skool,’ ‘Perhaps’ and ‘The General.’
