JARANWALA:

Jiangxi Vocational Technical College of Industry and Trade, China; University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF); and Tang Chinese Education and Technology Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish the CCTE Modern SINO-PAK Dual Diploma Joint Technical Education Programme.

The MoU was signed by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Wan Xiaobo, Party Secretary and President of Jiangxi Vocational Technical College of Industry and Trade, and Li Jinsong, President of TANG International Education Group.

The online signing ceremony was attended by notable officials, including Ghulam Qadir, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing; Lu Wenge, Party Member of the Development and Reform Commission of Jiangxi Province and Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Grain and Material Reserve Bureau of Jiangxi Province; and Liu Xiaoqiang, Member of the Education Working Group of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Deputy Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education.

Under this three-year dual diploma programme, students will spend two years at UAF and the third year in China.

During the first two years in Pakistan, students will study basic Chinese language courses, technical subjects, and other compulsory courses according to the approved curriculum.

In the third year, students will study at Jiangxi Vocational Technical College of Industry and Trade, where they will take advanced Chinese language courses, technical subjects, practical training, and other compulsory courses.

Both institutions will mutually recognise the credits and credit hours of all teaching courses.

The program aims to foster international education cooperation in areas such as co-school running, scientific research, teacher and student exchange, study abroad opportunities, practical training, internships, and employment.

The first batch of the demonstration project cooperation programme will use Jiangxi Vocational Technical College of Industry and Trade’s three-year Grain Storage and Transportation and Quality Safety Programme as a model to develop a similar three-year diploma program at UAF.
