Citizens forced to depend on filtration plant in hot weather

The main pipeline of the Water Supply Scheme of B Zone Municipal Corporation burst due to a breach in a canal.

The supply of drinking water in the city was suspended due to the incident.

Crops standing on hundreds of acres were also affected.

Officials of the irrigation and rescue departments reached the spot and started repair work on an emergency basis.

According to local residents, the water pipeline of Dera Ghazi Khan Municipal Corporation burst near Shaurya Bridge.

Deputy Commissioner Shahid Zaman Lak ordered repair of the pipeline, after which officials of the district administration, irrigation department, municipal corporation and rescue staff started the work.

The supply of drinking water to a large number of citizens was suspended due to the bursting of the municipal corporation's pipeline.

Citizens had to search for drinking water in the prevailing intense heat and a crowd of people was seen at the local filtration plant.
