Two nabbed for sexually harassing female teacher

Officials say one of the suspects is an employee of education department

FIA Cybercrime Circle Rawalpindi arrested two suspects, including an official of the education department involved in sexually harassing and blackmailing a female schoolteacher. Three mobile phones and objectionable material were also seized from their possession.

The cybercrime circle has launched a massive investigation.

According to the officials, Additional Director FIA Cyber Crime Cell Rawalpindi Chaudhry Abdul Rauf started an inquiry on the reports of harassment of women teachers by the government officials posted in Education Department Lakki Marwat, when the shocking revelations surfaced. On this, the FIA Cyber Crime Cell Rawalpindi team raided Lakki Marwat and arrested Arif Iqbal and Khalid Faraz.

Officials said that Arif Iqbal is posted as a superintendent in the Education Department of Lakki Marwat. The arrested accused used to sexually harass female teachers and threaten to transfer them to remote areas. He also shared the objectionable data of the victims on WhatsApp.

Three mobile phones and objectionable photos and videos were recovered from the accused. According to FIA officials, several other victims contacted the Cybercrime Circle Rawalpindi to record statements against the accused. The accused had been harassing the female teachers for the past several months, they said, adding that the suspects were also demanding money from the teachers by blackmailing them in the guise of objectionable pictures and videos.

Officials said that the accused involved in illegal activities under the guise of exceeding authority will be brought to justice and the accused will be given the strictest punishment according to law.
