An 18-year-old girl committed suicide by consuming poison after being distressed over her brother's domestic dispute in the Kakuana area on Tuesday.
According to police, the victim, identified as Hina Kiran, attempted to intervene when her brother quarrelled with his wife. When her efforts to pacify them failed, she became distraught and ingested poison.
Her condition deteriorated, and she was rushed to Civil Hospital Faisalabad, where she fought for her life but later succumbed.
Upon receiving the report, the acting SHO reached the hospital. After completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family.
