Dan Schneider ”preyed on me,” Lori Beth Denberg speaks out against Nickelodeon producer
Lori Beth Denberg, who starred on Nickelodeon's popular sketch comedy show “All That” from 1994 to 1998, has accused former producer Dan Schneider of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour.
Denberg's allegations come amid renewed scrutiny of Schneider's conduct following the documentary “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kid's TV,” where several former child stars made allegations against the show creator.
In a recent interview with Business Insider, Denberg spoke out about her experience, stating, “I feel like that is the first time he preyed on me,” referencing an incident where Schneider allegedly showed her pornography on his computer during a meeting when she was 19.
Denberg described a complex dynamic with Schneider, saying, “We had this weird, abusive relationship... I was never his girlfriend, and it wasn't sexual in that way, but it was definitely not okay.”
She detailed instances of uncomfortable situations, including sleepovers at Schneider's house where massages were exchanged while pornography played in the background.
Schneider has vehemently denied the allegations.
Denberg maintains that her story was true and has called for accountability.
“Nickelodeon needs to take some responsibility for what happened,” she said in the interview.
