Cross-border love is always a welcome phenomenon. In a heartwarming display of musical tribute, Diljit Dosanjh recently delighted fans by performing Shazia Manzoor's celebrated Punjabi track Batiyan Bujhai Rakhdi during a live concert. The rendition, captured on video, swiftly circulated across social media platforms, sparking a wave of admiration and nostalgia among music enthusiasts.

Dosanjh's rendition of the iconic song garnered widespread attention, prompting a positive response from none other than Manzoor herself. Expressing her appreciation for Dosanjh's gesture, Manzoor took to Instagram to reciprocate the respect and admiration.

Calling Dosanjh "our pride" and labelling herself the singer's "biggest fan," Manzoor conveyed "big respect" to the singer for the tribute. Dosanjh, too, was all praises and love as he wrote, "Respect, respect. Lots of love," further cementing the mutual admiration between the two artists.

The exchange between the two performers not only underscores the significance of cultural exchange and homage within the Punjabi music industry but also serves as a testament to the enduring impact of Manzoor's music on successive generations of artists and listeners alike. What's even more endearing is the fact that this isn't even an anomaly. Last year, actor Vidya Balan was seen grooving to Manzoor's musical prowess.

Balan dropped a video in February 2023 in which she was seen vibing to the same song. The one-minute video started with a man asking Balan the secret behind her low electricity bill. Responding to him, the diva kicked off into a funny dance showing off her moves to the song. Manzoor commented on the starlet's video, thanking her for using her music. "Thank you! I'm also a big fan of yours! I sang this song twenty years back and I'm feeling so humbled to have you dance to my song," she wrote.
