Actor Oliver Hudson has gotten candid about his struggle with anxiety.

The actor recently opened up about experiencing “debilitating” withdrawal symptoms after slowly trying to stop using “Celexa” – a medication used to treat anxiety.

On an episode of his and sister Kate Hudson's podcast, “Sibling Revelry,” Oliver detailed suffering a panic attack “three or four years ago,” while playing with his children.

“I was doing a show called Nashville,” he began. “I was away from my kids and it just hit me. I was playing beach football and had a f***ing crazy panic attack, it was nuts. I started bawling crying.”

He admitted, “It was just so debilitating. It’s hard to even explain, I mean, complete dissociation, I was a mess.”

The 47-year-old actor – son of Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson – revealed he had to resume medication to maintain stability, crediting Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for his current well-being.

“It was incredible and totally life changing,” he shared about his experience with CBT.

Hudson is a father of three, sharing sons Wilder and Bodhi, and daughter Rio, with his wife actress Erinn Bartlett, whom he married in 2006.

This isn't the first time the actor has spoken openly about his struggles with anxiety medication withdrawal. In 2022, he shared a video detailing a similar experience with Lexapro.
