Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir and Chief of the General Staff (CGS) of United Kingdom (UK) Army General Sir Patrick Sanders convened at the National Defence University (NDU) to inaugurate the 6th Pakistan-UK Regional Stabilization Conference on Tuesday, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
General Sanders addressed the audience at the opening session of the conference.
The Pakistan-UK Stabilization Conference is the primary forum for defence and security discussions between the two countries. It alternates between Pakistan and the UK and brings together experts from diverse fields including diplomats, defence officials, intellectuals, and civil society representatives.
Designate CGS UK Army, General Sir Roland Walker also attended the session.
The event aimed to foster dialogue on global and regional environments' impact on national security and regional peace.

As part of the conference, a 30-member UK delegation, led by Standing Joint Force Commander Major General Tom Bateman is visiting Pakistan.
The delegation arrived on April 29 and is scheduled to stay until May 3.
During the visit, discussions are expected to range from bilateral to regional issues, involving defence officials from both nations and the wider region.
In a separate meeting, COAS engaged with General Sanders and General Walker to discuss professional interests and strategies to bolster bilateral defence relations.
General Munir expressed gratitude to the UK CGS for his efforts in strengthening military ties and extended congratulations to General Walker on his upcoming role as the CGS of the UK Army.
Earlier this week, on April 29, COAS met Commander Turkish Land Forces General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi to discuss matters of mutual interest and strategies to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation.
