Kevin Bacon returns to Footloose high school for film’s 40th anniversary

Kevin Bacon has returned to the Utah high school where he filmed "Footloose" 40 years ago, joining students to commemorate the occasion.

The visit comes after a social media campaign by Payson High School students using #BacontoPayson convinced the actor to commemorate the movie's anniversary and their final prom before the school relocates.

Bacon, impressed by the students' efforts to support his charity SixDegrees.org, said he was "amazed" by the "power" of "Footloose" to connect people.

Students raised funds for the charity and built essential care kits for those in need. Bacon's visit included an honorary diploma, photos with students, and a trip down memory lane at his old locker.

"Let's dance!" Bacon exclaimed with the students, showcasing the enduring spirit of the film's message, according to the Utah Office of Tourism.
