The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle,  that had Prince William standing as his brother's best man, might have marked the beginning of a rift between the two princes, according to a royal author.

"With the benefit of hindsight, we're left feeling it was one of the last times they were happy in each other's company," Hardman told the Mirror UK. "You can't help looking back and thinking what might have been, but at the time it all felt very relaxed and friendly."

That sunny May day at St. George's Chapel in 2018 saw a star-studded guest list that included celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, and the cast of Suits.

An impressive 600 guests were in attendance, alongside senior royals like Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

Reports of growing tension between Prince Harry and Prince William now dominate the memory of this once-joyous event.
