Keanu Reeves is adding another action-packed franchise to his resume. Multiple sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the "John Wick" star will voice the iconic character Shadow in "Sonic the Hedgehog 3."

This news follows Paramount's CinemaCon presentation, where the studio revealed Dr. Robotnik's (Jim Carrey) return and the creation of Shadow the Hedgehog. Introduced in 2001's "Sonic Adventure 2", Shadow is a dark, edgy counterpart to Sonic, mirroring the hero's powers.

The Sonic movie franchise kicked off with the 2020 hit "Sonic the Hedgehog", followed by the successful 2022 sequel. Director Jeff Fowler returns for this third installment, with Ben Schwartz voicing Sonic and James Marsden as Tom Wachowski.

Reeves' recent blockbuster streak includes "John Wick: Chapter 4" and his return as Neo in "The Matrix: Resurrections". He'll soon appear in Aziz Ansari's "Good Fortune" and the "John Wick" spinoff, "Ballerina" starring Ana De Armas.

The John Campea Show initially broke the news of Reeves' casting.
