Alexa and Carlos Penavega have recently opened up about coping with the stillbirth of their baby, Indy.
In a joint post on Instagram, the couple reflected on their experience of loss, which they say has been both “painful” and “peaceful.”
“There are never the right words to say when it comes to loss,” the post revealed. “After a beautiful and peaceful delivery our daughter “Indy” was born at rest. It has been a painful journey. But in the pain we have found peace."
Though the “Spy Kids” actor and “Big Time Rush” member admitted their grief, they also said they felt “blessed” to have a “moment with her,” “She was absolutely beautiful. And looked just like daddy. Dark hair and all.”
They further emphasised the impact that their daughter brought, even with the minimal time they had with her, “Indy Rex PenaVega, you completely changed our world. You moved us to a new place. You gave us the community we have been longing for. We love you [and] can’t wait to see how many other lives you change.”
Alexa and Carlos initially posted about expecting a fourth baby in November 2023 in a post that read, “Thank God we love adventures 😍😍😍 Oh baby here we come! [Number four!]”
The couple have been married for 10 years and have three children: Ocean, 7, Kingston, 4, and Rio, 2.
