Singer Kelsea Ballerini kickstarted the 2024 CMT Music Awards as the evening’s host, referencing her viral reaction to losing a Grammy to fellow country artist, Lainey Wilson,
"You know sometimes the camera just lands on you and people misinterpret your reactions. Trust me.”
The country singer proceeded to joke about what stars in the audience were thinking,
“You may think you know what's going on in our heads, but you don't. So right now, we're going to find out what the stars in our audience are really thinking. That's right, we're reading minds in here."
The host and country star further thrilled fans with a reimagined rendition of her debut song "Love Me Like You Mean It" at the glamorous 2024 CMT Awards ceremony.
Adorned in a stunning shimmery gold bodysuit paired with black tights and heels, Kelsea expressed to the audience, "Y'all, I really can't believe it's been 10 years. That's crazy," during her performance.
