As per DIG CTD Asif Ejaz Sheikh, the officers are accused of unlawfully detaining a man named Jasim and his friends, and extorting Rs400,000 from them. He identified them as Sub Inspector Raffaqat, ASI Liaquat, Jahanzeb, and Haris, saying that they could face dismissal from service in light of the serious accusations against them.

Jasim and his friends Umar Farooq, Imran Abdullah, and Osama were reportedly subjected to unlawful detention and torture by the CTD officers. Jasim was allegedly coerced into meeting a girl named Noor, from whom he was supposed to collect an outstanding amount of Rs630,000.

When Jasim reached the designated meeting place in PECHS, he and his friends were intercepted by men claiming to be CTD officials Garden. Subsequently, they were shifted to the CTD Garden premises, where they were separated, deprived of their mobile phones, and subjected to harassment and intimidation.

Jasim claims that he was coerced into signing a blank paper and providing his thumb impression under duress. Moreover, his elder brother, Rashid, was compelled to pay Rs400,000 to secure Jasim's release.
