More than 2 dozen suspects arrested for various crimes
Police arrests 21 gamblers during raid near Ghas Mandi in Karachi, confiscates Rs81,000 from them.

The search operation in Karachi continued to end violence as the police arrested more than two dozen suspects from Lyari area during pre-dawn raids on Tuesday, reported Express 24/7.
Police also seized weapons and cash from the suspects.
DSP Zahid Hussain told reporters that the police arrested 21 gamblers during a raid near Ghas Mandi on Monday night and confiscated Rs81,000 from them.
A case was registered against all the arrested suspects under the gambling act.
Also, the police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel jointly conducted raids in Faisal Colony, Malir City and Lyari Sangoleen.
Several suspects were arrested from these areas and an inquiry has been launched in this regard.
According to police statistics, about 29 target killers and another 653 suspects were apprehended and 167 weapons were seized in the 985 raids from August 23 to September 4 during the search operation. The Rangers claim to have nabbed nearly 236 suspects and 327 weapons in operations in about 30 areas.
Earlier, the Supreme Court (SC) directed the inspector general of Police to form an impartial task force to deal with the security situation in Karachi. The SC has been hearing a suo motu case of killings in the city.
