Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly attempted to connect with Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, backstage at a recent Los Angeles concert earlier this month.

Sources told TMZ that Diddy expressed interest in a face-to-face conversation, but Kanye apparently wasn't receptive.

This is notable considering their recent public feud.

In 2022, Kanye accused Diddy of threatening him and criticised his "White Lives Matter" merchandise.

The details of their text exchange made public by Ye , where he called Diddy a "fed," further highlight the tension between them.

Diddy's apparent willingness to move past the conflict by attending the concert with his children and seeking a meeting was in stark contrast to Kanye's reported disinterest.

Fast forward to this week, federal agents searched Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Official statements about the investigation have revealed little about what exactly prompted the searches.

The 54-year-old, who has gone by P. Diddy, Puff Daddy and Diddy, was hit with a federal lawsuit last year from a former girlfriend who accused him of sex trafficking.

Last November, R&B vocalist Cassandra Ventura sued Combs in federal court in Manhattan.

She had accused Combs of subjecting her to serial physical abuse, sexual slavery and rape.

She alleged Combs regularly beat her over the course of a 10-year professional and romantic relationship, controlled her through intimidation and gave her drugs and alcohol.

The lawsuit cited violations of sex trafficking and human trafficking statutes under federal, New York and California laws.

Combs, through his lawyer, flatly denied the allegations.

The next day, Combs and Ventura jointly announced they had settled the case out of court.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The lawsuit by Ventura was one of at least four civil complaints brought in recent months leveling sexual assault allegations against Combs.
