Arnold Schwarzenegger on road to recovery after pacemaker surgery

The surgery was prompted when routine check-ups found scar tissue that was causing an irregular heartbeat.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the renowned actor and former Governor of California, recently revealed on his podcast, Arnold’s Pump Club, that he underwent surgery to implant a pacemaker, likening the experience to becoming "a little bit more of a machine."

Schwarzenegger commended the medical team at the Cleveland Clinic for their exceptional care, emphasising their role in making the procedure "as painless as possible."

Schwarzenegger's swift recovery was evident as he attended a major environmental event shortly after the procedure, showcasing his resilience and determination.

In his own words, Schwarzenegger shared, "I had my surgery on Monday, and by Friday, I was already at a big environmental event with my friend and fellow fitness crusader Jane Fonda."

The former California governor remains determined to pursue his commitments, including filming for the upcoming season of "FUBAR."

Reflecting on the importance of prioritising health, Schwarzenegger encouraged listeners not to postpone seeking medical advice when needed, stating, "If you’re putting something off out of fear, I hope I inspire you to listen to your doctors and take care of yourself."
