Achievement: HEC scholar gets PhD degree, title from France

The title of his thesis is “Contribution to the formal specification and verification of multi-agent robotic system.”

Dr Nadeem Akhtar was awarded the highest grade of the ‘très honorable’ title for successfully completing his PhD from the Universitry of South Brittany, France. He specialised in Software Engineering under the Higher Education Commission Overseas Scholarship for MS/MPhil leading to PhD in selected fields (Phase II).


The title of his thesis is “Contribution to the formal specification and verification of multi-agent robotic system.”

“I am highly thankful to my supervisor, co-supervisor, family, colleagues and friends for always motivating me. But all credit goes to HEC for awarding me this scholarship”, said Dr Akhtar.

Meanwhile, the research article of another HEC scholar Muhammad Waseem Ashraf, has been selected among the top 10 best papers published in 2010 in Sensors and Transducer Journal.

Ashraf is pursuing PhD in Microelectronics from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok.

The title of the article is “Fabrication and Analysis of Tapered Tip Silicon Microneedles for MEMS based Drug Delivery System”.

His second article “Design, Fabrication and Analysis of Silicon Hollow Microneedles for Transdermal Drug Delivery System for Treatment of Hemodynamic Dysfunctions” has been published on the title page of Springer Journal Cardiovascular Engineering and is among the top most downloaded articles from the previous three quarters.
