480 graduate from SMBBMU Larkana

Affiliated colleges were conferred their academic degrees at fifth annual convocation of varsity in Larkana

HYDERABAD:

Some 480 graduates of Shaheed Mohtrma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Larkana, and its affiliated colleges were conferred their academic degrees at the fifth annual convocation of varsity in Larkana on Monday.

The recipients included 250 students of Chandka Medical College, Larkana, 65 of Ghulam Mohammad Mahar College, Sukkur, 120 of Bibi Asifia Dental College, 23 of Institute of Pharmacy and 42 students of Benazir College of Nursing.

Samia Ayub, Ramsha Salim and Rida Mukhtiar of MBBS 2015 batch; Basma Sheikh, Aqsa Nazir and Fahad Aziz of 2016; Ghulam Madani, Habibullah and Falak Naz of 2017; and Dua Zahra, Ayesha Maryam and Aqsa Rani of 2018 were awarded gold medals.

The vice chancellor Prof Dr Nusrat Shah said the Chandka Medical College was a gift of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. She claimed that since she assumed the charge a year ago, she has paid off the bank loans of the university.

Begum Nusrat Bhutto University’s VC Prof Dr Tehmina Nagaraj congratulated the graduating students and their parents.
