A letter from the Islamabad chief police officer's office outlined the demand for a bulletproof vehicle for the Islamabad IG, indicating a genuine security concern.

In response to this matter, the Ministry of Interior formed a committee tasked with comprehensively examining the situation. The committee has now submitted its report, affirming the perceived threat to the Islamabad IG.

Currently, the Islamabad police lack any such vehicles for the security of its top officials. In response to the security concerns, the Islamabad police have issued a threat assessment letter to the district administration. However, conflicting reports emerge, as sources from the district administration assert that there is no discernible threat to the IG.
