A team of environmental experts from China is scheduled to visit Lahore next week to conduct an in-depth study to unveil the root causes of escalating smog.
Presiding over a meeting of a cabinet committee for anti-smog measures, caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated, “It is regrettable that we lack authentic research on the reasons for the surge in smog. Addressing smog requires more than hearsay and speculation. Comprehensive measures to safeguard public health can only be formulated with authentic data.”

He appealed to the people to wear masks as a protective measure against diseases.
The caretaker CM also called for a crackdown on sellers of substandard fuel.
