Election management bodies: Conference of SAARC states to be held

ISLAMABAD:
A conference on “Cooperation between election management bodies (EMBs) of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) member states” will be held here on September 8. The three-day conference will conclude on September 10. Chief election commissioners of all member states are likely to discuss strategic planning for running EMBs, consultation with electoral stakeholders, independence and financial autonomy of EMBs, importance of accurate electoral rolls for credible elections, and challenges for fair delimitation and their solutions.
