QUETTA: The meteorological department of Balochistan has predicted heavy rainfall in the eastern parts of the province along with cold winds in the next 24 hours, Express 24/7 reported on Monday.
Nonstop rain is also expected in the northern areas of the province in the next 24 hours.
Heavy rains have already wreaked havoc in the area, damaging several mud houses in Hub, Kalat and Naseerabad.
Around 48 millimeters of rain has been recorded in Kalat in the last 24 hours.
Deputy Commissioner District Lasbela Noor Ahmed Samu said that all 195 pilgrims who were earlier trapped near Hingol River have been shifted to Karachi.
The pilgrims, including women and children, went to the Hinglaj area to perform rituals in the oldest temple in the region on Wednesday where they were marooned in the wake of torrential rains.
