DIJKOT:

Two lady doctors from Allied Hospital found themselves entangled in an accident during an outing with male friends.

The incident took a clandestine turn as the hospital administration attempted to conceal the mishap, shifting the injured doctors to a private room and imposing visitor restrictions.

Details reveal that Rabia, daughter of Abdul Rasheed, and Tabinda, daughter of Javed, both engaged in house job duties at Allied Hospital, ventured out with their male friends Haider and Farman, Faisalabad residents.

The group met with a road accident approximately 200 kilometres off Malpur interchange. Notably, the lady house officers neither sought permission nor informed their superiors about their ‘outing’.

The accident transpired when a pickup truck collided with their car, causing injuries to all four occupants, including the two lady doctors. Subsequently, they were transferred to Allied Hospital for medical attention.

Alarmed by the presence of the lady doctors, the hospital management hastily moved them to a private ward in an apparent effort to conceal the lapse. While Haider and Farman, the slightly injured male victims, received medical aid, the hospital administration handed them over to the Civil Line Police.

Sub-Inspector Tariq Ameer, SHO Civil Line, reported that the two lady doctors had embarked on a motorway outing with friends, resulting in a car accident.

Following a complaint from the hospital administration, both doctors will face detention, and legal action will be initiated against the male companions.

This incident underscores the hospital administration’s attempt to shield its shortcomings, raising questions about transparency and accountability in dealing with such matters.
