Autism treatment facilities promised

LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that facilities for the treatment and care of autistic children will be expanded to the district level across the province.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism, she said the first institution had been established in a year.

She said the centre built according to international standards provides comprehensive treatment facilities for autistic children under one roof, adding that such an integrated facility is rare.

Mianwali projects

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Mianwali and announced several development projects, including the establishment of a medical college in the district.

She also announced that the government would build an allied college for nursing and other health professionals, an agricultural and a law college in Mianwali.
