Murderer sentenced to death by Murree court
A local court in Murree has awarded a death sentence to a convict and life imprisonment to three others in the case of killing a person and injuring three people over a minor road rage incident in Murree.
The court also imposed 55 years of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs900,000 and a daman [retribution] of Rs200,000 on the convicts.
According to the details, the local court judge sentenced Muhammad Jamal to death under section 302 [murder] and ordered him to pay a fine of Rs300,000 besides sentencing the convict to another 10 years in prison and imposing Rs50,000 damages for attempted murder and other charges.
Similarly, Mehtab Ahmed was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs100,000, while in the case of attempted murder and other provisions, he was sentenced to 13 years in prison with a fine of Rs50,000 and daman of Rs50,000.

Further, Ali Nawaz was sentenced to life imprisonment with a fine of Rs100,000, while in the case of attempted murder and other provisions, he was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
Another convict Zakaria was sentenced to life imprisonment with Rs200,000 of fine. In contrast, in the case of attempted murder, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
In 2020, the convicts killed Aqil Abbasi and injured three people including Adil, Jamal and Safat Abbasi by firing in Sindhian Murree.
