Three health workers killed on road
Three health workers lost their lives when two motorcycles collided with each other on Adiala Road in the limits of Saddar Baruni police station on Monday.
The deceased included two female health workers and one male health worker. They were identified as Yasmin Akhtar, Saleha Aftab and Muhammad Maskin. A passerby named Raheel suffered injuries in the accident.
According to the police, the accident took place when the three health workers were on their way to collect the polio vaccines as the polio campaign was starting on Monday in the Rawalpindi division like other parts of the country. They added that a motorcyclist named Arsalan coming from the opposite direction rammed into the motorcycle of health workers.

The collision was so severe that the lady health worker Yasmin Akhtar died on the spot and the motorcycles were completely destroyed, said the police.
They added that the accident occurred due to speeding and Arsalan was responsible for it. SHO Saddar Baruni Jamal Nawaz said that a case has been registered against Arsalan.
