Three tourists were killed and 16 others critically injured after a tourist bus plunged into a deep gorge at Peshmal in the Kalam area of Swat on Saturday.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Control Room in Swat dispatched the Rescue 1122 medical teams to the scene.
The Rescue 1122 medical team provided initial medical aid to the injured on the spot and then transported all of them to Saidu Sharif Hospital for further treatment.
Four of the injured were said to be in critical condition.
Caretaker Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Justice (retd) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah lamented the loss of precious human lives.
The chief minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences, expressing deep grief over the tragic loss of life, urging patience for the families of the deceased and the bereaved.
The chief minister extended his sincere sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims.
The chief minister directed the hospital authorities to provide best possible medical assistance to the injured.
Police told The Express Tribune that the bus went out of control of the driver due to break failure and plunged into a deep ravine.
