QUETTA:

In a major operation, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Circle, Quetta has successfully apprehended two individuals involved in sexual harassment and blackmail. The accused, identified as Malik Shariq and Saqib Abbas, were taken into custody from Quetta.

The suspects allegedly employed a deceptive loan app to exploit unsuspecting citizens. Under the guise of financial assistance, they targeted individuals, attempting to extort money by threatening to leak their compromising pictures and videos. The FIA Cybercrime Circle launched an investigation into the matter following multiple complaints.

During the operation, law enforcement officials confiscated two mobile phones from the possession of the accused. These devices reportedly contained objectionable photos and videos of a complainant’s daughter, reinforcing the charges against Shariq and Abbas.

A spokesperson for FIA stated that the arrested accused are currently under investigation, and the legal process is underway. The agency is committed to ensuring justice for the victims and will leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to book.
