LAHORE:

There is a slight change in the plan for PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif's visit to Balochistan. The former three-time prime minister will now leave for the province today, Tuesday. The PML-N had initially announced Nawaz's plan to kick off his visit on November 13, Monday.

PML-N President and former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif will also accompany Nawaz during the latter’s much-hyped visit. According to sources in the party, Nawaz’s security team has already left for Quetta, Balochistan’s provincial capital, by road.

During the visit, Nawaz is expected to meet with leaders of several political parties. The sources said some politicians are expected to announce joining the PML-N during meetings with Nawaz.

Additionally, some political parties are likely to announce their seat adjustment deals with the PML-N for the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8, 2024.

The PML-N, which has ruled the country four times in over three decades, is also forming a grand electoral alliance in Sindh province, which is generally regarded as a bastion of the PPP party.
