Golf: Crowded at the top in Crans

Rory McIlroy formed part of a four-man logjam at the top of the leaderboard.

CRANS-SUR-SIERRE:
Rory McIlroy formed part of a four-man logjam at the top of the leaderboard at the halfway stage of the European Masters in Switzerland. The US Open champion could not quite hit the heights of his opening 65 at Crans-sur-Sierre as he struggled on the greens, but a 69 was still good enough to ensure he grabbed a share of the lead. McIlroy sits alongside England's Simon Dyson and Gary Boyd and Wales' Jamie Donaldson in the standings, all grouped on eight-under-par.
