LONDON: Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves and Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku have been left out of their respective squads for the Champions League group stages. Hargreaves, 30, joined City this week but the former England international is still working his way back to fitness and City have omitted him from the 17 unrestricted places available in their Champions League squad. Meanwhile, Belgian international Lukaku has surprisingly been omitted from Chelsea's squad for the group stages as well. The 18-year-old will not be able to feature until the last-16 stage of the competition.
