PAKPATTAN:

In Tehsil Kachhari Arifwala, a man was shot and killed outside the court over a past grudge. The victim, Sajid, was a resident of village 63 SP and was on bail in a murder case. He appeared for a court hearing on Thursday, where he was gunned down.

As soon as the incident was reported, DSP, Malik Tariq Javed Awan and a contingent of police reached the court and arrested suspected shooter Mohammad Fayaz. RPO Sahiwal Mehboob Rashid took notice of the incident and sought a report, while DPO Pakpattan Tariq Wilayat personally inspected the crime scene at Kachhari Arifwala and met judicial staff.

Fayyaz allegedly shot and killed Sajid in Kachhari Arifwala over an old grudge. Taking timely action, the police immediately arrested the accused and recovered the pistol used in the incident. About one year ago, Sajid and seven other accused allegedly killed Fayyaz’s uncle, Akhtar, in village 63 SP area Rangshah police station.

DPO Pakpattan assured the deceased’s relatives of justice and said that the facilitators of the accused Fayyaz will also be arrested after identification.
