Three arrested for assaulting boy

KARACHI:

The police of Dadu and Badin districts have arrested three suspects, who have also been booked in the FIR, for allegedly subjecting a minor boy, TikToker Zubair Shah, to rape and humiliation by circulating the rape’s video on social media.

Ayaz Khoso, Fayaz Laghari and Irfan Buledi have been arrested by the Dadu and Badin police for the offence while Imdad Bhurgari is at large.

The Dadu police had also detained Ayaz Laghari but he was released later. Bhurgari and Buledi are charged with sharing the video. The case was registered at A-Section police station on the complaint of Aamir Shah, boy’s cousin.

He alleged that the boy was raped over two months ago and later on the accused started to blackmail his family for money, threatening to release the recorded video on social media. On Friday, a court in Dadu granted three-day physical remand of Khoso and Laghari. The police have sent DNA samples for the lab test.
