In another incident involving a motorcycle gang in the Central district, 24 men came riding on 12 shining new 125CC bikes - the choice ride of robbers and taget killers and looted people hanging out at a roadside teashop in the early hours of Friday.
Despite CCTV footage capturing their actions, there has been no significant progress in apprehending the motorcycle gang, leaving the community concerned about their continued criminal activities.
During this raid during the night between Thursday and Friday, the gang not only targeted dozens of people, robbing them of their cash, mobile phones, and belongings but also looted the dhaba owner and his staff.
To create chaos and fear, the criminals fired multiple shots and injured a rickshaw driver who bravely resisted their robbery attempt. The injured rickshaw driver, identified as Anees, was swiftly transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital via an Edhi ambulance. This brazen motorcycle gang has been particularly active in August 2023, with over a dozen reported robberies in the Azizabad area, resulting in a loot of more than Rs10 million, as per Central district police sources.
