Feudal lord booked for ‘raping’ maid for months

A feudal lord residing in rural village 128 EB allegedly raped his maid at gunpoint over the course of several months. The accused, identified as Ali Raza Arain, also reportedly forced the maid to have an abortion when she became pregnant, continuing to subject her to sexual abuse afterwards. Model Town Police registered a case against the accused on court orders, however he has denied the allegations.

According to details, the accused Ali Raza raped his own maid at gunpoint and recorded a video of the act on his mobile phone. After the first incident, he continued to abuse her for several months and whenever she resisted, he reportedly threatened to upload the video on social media.

The victim informed police that after several months of repeated sexual abuse, she became pregnant. Upon finding out, the accused forced her to get an abortion, which she returned to her home. The accused allegedly abducted the victim from her home and took her back to his home, where the abuse resumed.

She eventually approached the court with her allegations, upon which the court ordered the registration of an FIR against Ali Raza Arain. Model Town police station took action after the registration of the case. Ali Raza Arain has denied the allegations, declaring it blackmail.

The maltreatment of maids and domestic help is unfortunately commonplace across Punjab. Last month, a minor housemaid identified as Rizwana was brought to District Headquarters Hospital Sargodha in critical condition. She bore wounds on her face, head and body that were said to have been caused by a “blunt weapon”.
