Drug peddlers targeting students apprehended

Lyallpur Town police apprehended three suspects accused of distributing narcotics to students from GC University and Agricultural University.

The arrests were made alongside the seizure of 3.5 kilogrammes of hashish. However, the police encountered resistance during the operation, with 30 individuals opposing their efforts and assaulting a police constable while tearing his uniform.

Despite prior reports of resistance, the Gulberg police arrived late at the scene.

Sub-Inspector Rana Rashid Mehmood of CIA Lyallpur Town received a tip-off about alleged drug suppliers Tauqeer alias Tawheed and Tahir alias Tara Butt operating in Street No. 11, Gorunanakpura.
