It was just a meme: Aliza Sultan clarifies recent share was not directed towards anyone

The meme in question raised several eyebrows

In a surprising turn of events, Aliza Sultan, the former wife of renowned actor Feroze Khan, found herself entangled in a peculiar controversy, all stemming from a seemingly harmless meme. The meme, originally a text post shared on X (formerly Twitter), prompted Aliza to post it to her Instagram Story, only for it to ignite a social media storm.

The tweet in question read, "I just want one Pakistani drama where the other girl tells the married girl that no one wants your husband." Aliza added her own commentary to the post, saying, "Who will tell that husband this?"

While Aliza's intention seemed light-hearted and playful, it appears that the meme struck a nerve with some netizens, leading to speculation and debate about whether her comment was directed at any specific individual or situation. The situation escalated to a point where Aliza felt compelled to address the issue through her Instagram account. In her clarification, she emphatically stated, "It was just a meme, there was no indication towards anyone."

This comes at a time when speculation regarding Feroze and Najiba Faiz was making headlines. However, addressing his audience for a quick video, Feroze said, "It's sad how, in these times, people, they name other people dirty, just for the sake of a few bucks. It's just sad." He then emphasised that relationships between people can be multifaceted, extending beyond traditional understanding.

The actor stated, "Why can't we live and let live? Two people can be friends. They can be emotionally or craft-wise connected. Or, some people could be spiritually connected. Or anything could be bringing them together. So why not just live and let live? I think that'd be really healthy and peaceful for society and for Pakistan at large."

At the other end of the equation, Najiba, who has been linked with Feroze after pictures of the two circulated on social media, sparking assumptions of a romantic connection, took to her Instagram Story and Twitter to address the situation once again. She clarified that individuals should refrain from making assumptions based on incomplete or misleading information. "For those dragging me into this baseless controversy - now posting different photos at different places - doesn't mean that whoever is with Feroze Khan anywhere shall be taken as me because faces of those girls are not visible," she shared.

She further emphasised that linking her to specific events without verification is both condemnable and unethical. "Therefore, if Feroze Khan claims that he finally found the girl of his dream doesn't mean that she was me (Najiba Faiz) who went with him on hiking and then unfortunately posted the picture on my social media account. So, without verification, claiming such things is highly condemnable and unethical."
