Cops, prisoners dance on national songs at jailhouse I-Day bash

The prisoners In Central Jail Karachi celebrated the Independence Day with great enthusiasm.

A vibrant ceremony filled with patriotic songs prompted inmates and police officers to dance, creating an atmosphere of unity.

The jailhouse resounded with chants of "Pakistan Zindabad." Addressing the gathering, DIG Jail Hasan Sahto emphasised that there has been a notable reduction in extortion and threatening calls originating from Central Jail Karachi.

He expressed confidence in the inmates' progress, stating that the jail has undertaken significant positive changes.

Notably, efforts have been made to ensure prisoners' well-being and rehabilitation, including improved communication with their families.

Former Advisor Jail Mir Ijaz Jakarani highlighted the significance of freedom and expressed gratitude for the country's independence.

He spoke about his efforts to enhance prison conditions during his tenure.

These improvements included enhanced budgets, better facilities, and communication privileges for prisoners.

Jakarani stressed the importance of continued efforts to uplift incarcerated individuals.
