PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) President Awami National Party (ANP), Aimal Wali Khan has said a caretaker prime minister from a political party could not be called neutral and apolitical.

“Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) is a political party and one of its members has been made prime minister how can he be called apolitical,” he observed, adding that those who are making such decisions are damaging the confidence of the general public.

Aimal added that the caretaker prime minister in 2018 failed to hold free and fair elections and the current caretaker PM is also not different.

He said that elections should be free of any interference as Constitution has been on ventilator since 2018. He was talking to journalists at Bacha Khan Markaz after visiting the graves of the Babara massacre.

“If we get the opportunity, we would reopen the case of the Babara massacre to reveal the truth,” he said.

About the resigns of the entire caretaker cabinet in K-P, he said that the chief minister and governor are also controversial and they should also be removed.
