SHO involved in journalist's torture not suspended

The SHO of the Liberty Police Station has still not been suspended despite Chief Minister's orders.

The SHO of the Liberty Police Station who was accused of torturing an Express News camera man along with other policemen from the same station, has still not been suspended despite Chief Minister's orders.

An FIR was registered on the complaint of Express News Bureau Chief Muhammad Ilyas, who alleged that the SHO and 16 other unidentified people, including 10 policemen, attacked cameraman Farrukh.


Farrukh was filming the police torture of protestors during a demolition operation of Liberty Parking Plaza.

The FIR further alleges that Farrukh was kept in illegal detention at the police station.
